Readathon!

I know this post is coming a little late in the game, but since I just formally decided yesterday to join all the festivities, I guess it’s not surprising that this post is a little delayed as well! So, I have joined, and have been reading since the early morning. I will not be posting updates as I don’t want to clutter up your readers, but I am ambitious and I'm hoping to read quite a few things. I've picked some longer books to start with and will be interspersing them with some graphic novels, I think. Right now, I'm in the middle of Becoming Marie Antoinette and should be starting on Daughter of Smoke and Bone later this afternoon or early evening. As for the graphic novels, I'm not exactly sure what I'll be reading yet. I wanted to wish all the other participants a wonderful Readathon and let you all know that I will resume commenting in my regular fashion on Sunday. Good luck all you readers out there!

Hope you're having a good reading day. Mine has felt disjointed since hubs came back from meetings at 1:30. We did talk a nice long walk around the Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach Club resorts. I'll have more reading time tonight.

Hope it is all working out for you!I crashed and burned. I Tweeted and read the best I could but didn't pick the right book to start off with. Next year, graphic novels baby.

Well better reading late than reading not-at-all. Happy read-a-thon-ing!

Ooh, how did it go for you? I'm at the edge of my seat in suspense to know all the books you read. I didn't participate formally but was so inspired by all the posts that I finished up Frankenstein for the Classics Circuit and also started and finished a Georgette Heyer book. It's been ages since I finished two books in a one WEEK time frame (or even one book?), let alone one day, so I feel quite good about myself :-)

I didn't realize you participated in the readathon...I wish I had! I'm sorry, I would have stopped by and cheered you on! I'm glad you got a lot of reading done. Not posting updates is the way to do it, I think, because not only does it clutter readers, it really interrupts your reading.

I had difficulty reading because I had a bad cold and since I signed up to be a cheerleader I tried doing that for a while...it worked for a while but then I was done for!

Glad you had fun! I need to make sure I get some shorter books for the next time.
