So glad you enjoyed this one - as you know, I liked it a lot too! I think it can be difficult to take a character from girlhood to adulthood within the span of a single novel, but Kramon does it remarkably well.

Heather, I wanted to say thank you so much for this thoughtful and beautifully-written review. I'm so happy that the book spoke to you in so many ways, and especially that it brought up these deeper issues along with the humor and fun. That's really what I hoped the book would do.

Sandy, I'm glad the book seems interesting to you and would love to know what you think of it if you end up reading it. I can absolutely understand how Finny's character can be tough for some parents at first, but I hope that the book gives her enough opportunities to soften and change as she encounters more of life.

Heather, that was a lovely review! I've read some reviews and seen that trailer, and it has gotten my attention. Although...a mouthy teenager? I have enough of that business at home. It is inspiring, though, that Finny did pull out of that phase a bit.
